The Abbott and Fenner Scholarship was created in 2001 to provide a way for high school seniors in need to attend college. The scholarship is renewable for four consecutive years. The award amount varies, but is usually $2,500 per year. Junior League of Buffalo Scholarships program
The Junior League of Buffalo offers a scholarship to University at Buffalo juniors and seniors in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5. The award is given to one student at UB, and the recipient must be an active member of the Junior League. The winner will receive $5,000 toward their tuition expenses for the following year at UB.
Thompson Working Families Scholarship
Thompson Working Families Scholarship Program was created in 2011 by the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. The program provides $4,000 scholarships to high school seniors in Michigan who have been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder and who plan on enrolling full-time in post-secondary education. Thompson Scholarship Program has awarded over $1 million in scholarships since its inception. The scholarship is funded through donations from members of the public, businesses, and grants.
OKC National Memorial Essay Scholarship Program
The Oklahoma City National Memorial Essay Scholarship is the national memorial essay scholarship hosted by the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation. The scholarship is offered to college students pursuing an undergraduate degree in creative writing and who intend to pursue a career as a writer, journalist, editor, or producer. Awardees will be given a $10,000 scholarship and complete a one-year residency at the Oklahoma City National Memorial where they will work with other writers to develop their craft.
Erie County Fair Scholarships program
Erie County Fair Scholarships is a program designed to give scholarships to students who live outside Erie County, Pennsylvania and attend school in the county. The goal of the scholarship program is to increase tourism and promote local businesses by showcasing what Erie County has for residents and visitors alike. The Erie County Fair Scholarship Program is available for children that attend high school in the following towns: Millcreek Township, Harborcreek Township, North East, Wattsburg Borough and Franklin Township.
The Student-View Scholarship Program is a program that promotes academic excellence and rewards student contributors with scholarship funds. The purpose of the program is to provide funding to children who have a “desire for a higher education.” Students can apply to the program by submitting a short essay about why they deserve scholarships. If students are selected, they will be required to continue to show academic achievement each year for five years in order to maintain their scholarship benefits.
AKA Scholarships Program
AKA Scholarships are a great way for individuals to become more educated in order to be successful. AKA scholarships are awarded to deserving African American students in grades nine through 12. The scholarships are given in the form of grants, which range in amount from $250-$2000. For each grant, there is a required essay that must be written, but the scholarship committee takes into consideration the whole application when awarding the grant.
PB & J Scholarship Program
The PB&J Education Foundation has announced their annual scholarship for the upcoming school year. The scholarship is proudly sponsored by J and G Corporation and offers a $1000 prize to one lucky winner. The scholarships are available for students of all ages and grade levels. To be eligible, applicants must submit an essay of 500 words or less on the following topic: What is your favorite sandwich besides peanut butter and jelly? Applicants may also request that the award be used as tuition assistance.
Alfred State Scholarships Program
Alfred State Colleges offer students with financial needs some scholarship opportunities, so they can complete their education without the fear of an overwhelming debt. These scholarships are offered to provide assistance to students who demonstrate financial need on their student application, and they range in amounts from $500-$3000.
