The Navy Command Training Team Course (NCTTC) is an 8-week program that provides leadership and management training to officers in the United States Navy. The course is held at the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) in Newport, Rhode Island. The Navy Command Training Team Course is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Senior Colleges and Universities (ABSCU). The ABSCU is a nationally recognized accrediting body that provides assurance to institutions that their programs meet rigorous standards. Participants who successfully complete this course receive credit toward completion of an officer commissioning program.

Command Training Team

Command Training Team (CTT) is a five-week course for newly commissioned officers in the United States Navy. The course is designed to provide officers with a comprehensive understanding of naval education and training, as well as the naval culture and system. CTT also provides an overview of the Command structure and its missions.

Tactical Training Group, Pacific

The Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) operates the Tactical Training Group (TTG) Pacific, located in San Diego, California. TTG Pacific provides naval educational and training services to the fleet as part of NETC’s mission to deliver world-class training to our Sailors. TTG Pacific is a collaborative effort of eight enlisted services schools located throughout the United States Navy Region Southwest. The school teams are: Air Traffic Control School; Aviation Structural Mechanic School; Electronics Maintenance Technician School; Fire Controlman Mate School; Information Systems Manager School; Naval Nuclear PropulsionSchool; and Warfare Systems Officer School.

NETC conducts regular training events for all warfare systems officers in preparation for their future role as naval commanders.

Leadership Courses

The Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) offers a variety of leadership courses to Navy officers seeking to develop the skills they need to lead. The United States Navy Leadership Team Course (LTC) is one of these courses.

This course provides participants with the opportunity to learn how to identify, understand, and manage relationships within a team. LTC also helps participants develop the skills needed to lead teams in both operational and administrative settings.

U.S. Navy Marksmanship Team

The Navy Marksmanship Team (NMT) is a team of highly skilled marksmen that train and support the United States Navy in shooting skills. The NMT was formed in 1988, and is based out of Naval Education and Training Command’s (NETC) Naval Gunfire Training Unit (NGTU) in Newport, Rhode Island. The team provides training for all United States Navy personnel who require firearm qualification. Additionally, the NMT participates in joint shooting events with other military organizations around the world.

The United States Navy has a very strict policy on the handling and dissemination of classified information. This policy is known as Naval Education, Training Command (NETC) OPSEC. The NETC OPSEC policy is designed to protect the classified information of the United States Navy and its personnel. This policy also aims to provide a safe and secure working environment for those who handle classified information.

To ensure compliance with this policy, all personnel in positions that may have access to classified information must complete an OPSEC training course. The NETC OPSEC training course covers topics such as how to handle and protect classified information, how to report unauthorized access to or use of classified information, and how to comply with regulatory requirements pertaining to the handling of classified information.

The NETC OPSEC training course is required for all personnel who work with or are responsible for the handling of classified information.
