TRANSFER STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS pROGRAM

All-State Academic Team

There are a number of programs designed to recognize and reward academic excellence at the high school level. One such program is the All-State Academic Team, which is sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). To be eligible for selection to the team, students must be in the top 10% of their class and have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.

All-USA Academic Team

Annie Wang has been named to the All-USA Academic Team, and will receive a $2,500 scholarship. Wang, a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia, is one of 20 students nationwide to be honored by USA Today.

Christopher A. Calhoun Transfer Scholarship program

The Christopher A. Calhoun Transfer Scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to students who are transferring from a two-year college to a four-year university. The scholarship is worth $2,000 per year and is renewable for up to three years. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be enrolled in a degree program at the four-year university.

Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholarship program

The Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholarship is a scholarship given to students who have a 3.5 GPA or higher and live in the Texas region. The scholarship is named after Dr. Mary Hood, who was a teacher, principal, and superintendent in the Fort Worth Independent School District for over 25 years. She was also the first African American to be appointed to the position of Superintendent of Schools in the state of Texas.

Hites Transfer Scholarship program

The Hites Transfer Scholarship is a scholarship offered to students who are transferring to Ohio University from another college or university. The scholarship is worth $2,000 and is renewable for up to three years. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.

Pacific Region Transfer Scholarship program

The Pacific Region Transfer Scholarship is a scholarship offered to students in the Pacific Region who plan to transfer to a four-year institution. The scholarship is offered by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is renewable for up to three years. The scholarship amount is $2,000 per year.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK)

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) is the world’s largest and most prestigious honor society for two-year college students. PTK has more than 1.5 million members and nearly 1,000 chapters in the United States and around the world. PTK recognizes academic excellence and encourages service to others.

PTK members Scholarships Opportunities

PTK Automatic Scholarship program

PTK is a scholarship organization that offers scholarships to students who have achieved a high level of academic excellence and community service. The organization is open to students from all backgrounds, and there are no restrictions on the field of study that recipients may pursue. PTK offers many different types of scholarships, including the Automatic Scholarship. The Automatic Scholarship is offered to freshmen who have a GPA of 3.75 or higher and are majoring in a STEM field.

Full-tuition PTK-NWU Scholarship program

The National World War II Museum in New Orleans is pleased to announce the availability of the Full-tuition PTK-NWU Scholarship. This scholarship is open to any U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is accepted to or currently attending a regionally accredited two- or four-year institution of higher education in the United States. The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition for up to four years of undergraduate education at the selected institution.
